Meet our sweetsouls:

  • I’m 19 years old and live in Rome. I study translation (English, French, Japanese) in the university. I’m also studying Russian for fun. I chose to become a translator because I think it is a noble job in the sense that people get access to new texts.
  • I’m 20 and I come from Bologna, a town in Italy. I’m at my second year of anthropology, religions and oriental cultures bachelor and I love reading literature of any kind, volunteering and doing nerd stuff.
  • I am Sandeep Joshi from Nepal. I am grateful the opportunity to become a part of this wonderful community. Nepali is my mother tongue. I also speak English, Hindi and a little bit of Spanish. I am student of forestry and am very inclined towards wildlife. A warm hug to all my friends.
  • I’m a second year university student. I study translation (Greek, English, French) and I want to specialise in literary translation. Speaking many languages certainly broadens my horizons. I read all the time and I’m also into creative writing.
  • I graduated in hispanic philology and history of art. Now I’m doing a master degree in translation studies and history of art. I’m a native Croatian speaker and my main languages are Spanish and Catalan, but I also speak English and I study Galician and Basque language too.
  • I’m Giulia, I’m 24 and I’m Italian. I’m attending an Advanced university course in Literatures and Intercultural Translation, but I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Languages and Cultures. I’ve been studying English and German at university, but I can also speak French and Spanish.
  • I’m a native Romanian speaker, but I also speak Serbian, English, German and French. I’m a manager and organiser and an administrator with experience in cultural and art management. I have worked for organisation that has positioned itself as relevant in dealing with  presenting literature from all over.
  • I claim that cultural unity help human being to develop good communication with others. Because we all live, study, work together. A unity in cultures and language benefit our own growth in life. Ethiopia, my home country, is a great example of this concept. Almost having 86 different cultures and languages.
  • I’m Ilyass Beit from Morocco, Casablanca. I’m 24 years old. Now I’m studying English studies in Hassan 2 University. I speak three languages: Arabic, French and English.
  • My mother tongue is Arabic, my second language is English, I’ve been learning French and Japanese for a while and I am also fluent in Chinese. I am majoring in Chinese and English translation. I cannot stress enough how languages changed my life and personality.
  • I’m Alexander Masoliver-Aguirre. I’m from Iquique, Chile and I’m 29. I’m a graduate student in philosophy. My inspiration is the relationship between the self and the other, specially when we talk about emotions. In order to research that, I work with linguistics, translation and literature theories. I speak English, Portuguese, and a little bit of French and German
  • My name is Burcin, I am originally from Turkey and I grew up in Italy. As a kid I developed passion for books. I recently started studying Arabic, because I live in Morocco at the moment. I’m interested in multiculturalism, psychology and poetry translation.
